Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite of Spring’ as you have never seen it before

In the anniversary year of the first performance of Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite of Spring’, there have been a number of interesting celebrations, none more entertaining than a new animation by Stephen Malinowski of Music Animation Machine www.stephenmalinowski.com.

This wonderful animation of Stravinsky’s Rite is based on the musical stave and gives a colourful and pictorial image of the music.

It can be seen on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02tkp6eeh40.

Have a look at it, you will find it great fun – and if you don’t read a score, you’ll easily be able to follow the different lines of the orchestration.

If you go to www.stephenmalinowski.com and click on about and then music animation machine youtube channel you will find animations of other classical scores.
